Description
I expected to hate this game. Incredibly immersive atmosphere, beautiful graphics, enjoyable combat system, and breadcrumb-style narrative. In short, I came into this game doubting, and ended up falling in love with it.
Things I enjoyed:
+ A very interesting narrative on what happened to Eden.
+ The fact that you can move across all of Eden without a single loading screen.
+ The nightmare-inducing faces of the infected -- I don't know who came up with that extreme expression of rage, but it haunts me.
+ The 'I am Legend' feel of rushing back to your base before it gets dark and the Dark Seekers find you.
+ The beautiful clash of utopian splendor and zombie apocalypse
+ The awful tension of fighting a horde, watching your health hit below 50%, and knowing if you die, the death is permanent.
