Given that this is the 27th title in the Nancy Drew video game franchise, it was easy to see why these games keep getting made. While I believe that the next incarnations should take some hints from some of the new school, the old school feel of The Deadly Device was refreshing. It won't be challenging The Walking Dead for depth of character, but there is a lot to like in Nancy Drew: The Deadly Device. If you, like me, have played multiple games in the series, this one is definitely worth checking out. If you are new to the series, this may not be the best to start with, as the start of the game is so immediate with little introduction.Despite its slow start and limited exploration, The Deadly Device provides a good jolt to the franchise with its compelling story and fun puzzles. It has some mature themes, and great puzzles, but also badly directed scenes, and not that intriguing.
It wasn't really a dissapointment,but I still expected a little more.
