I simply love these games :)
And for this one in particular I could swear I played it also on Kongregate years ago but I can remember wrong..
Anyways, they always manage to amuse me a lot and keep me addicted with their mechanics and their upgrade systems!
Basically it's a 2D shooter: you're on the roof of a building in the very left side of the screen and from the right one there will be waves of zombies (not only zombies of course!) that you have to kill.
Each level can be completed with 3 stars, you earn money and points useful to upgrade in various ways you and your ally (with both the usual weapon upgrades - damage, reload time, fire rate and such - and also 'broad' permanent upgrades: increase your chance to get critical hits, to earn more money, reduces cooldowns of your special abilities like the grenade and so on).
Of course, your teammates will fire on their own and you're gonna control only your main character.
The game is greatly designed with its cartoonish sprites and it's lot of fun :)
Given the upgrade system the levels will never bore you, they're short and give a perfect difficulty curve.
Probably it is quite short and it was made for mobile phones (but I'm still pretty sure I played a game similar to this one on Flash.. xD), but it's very nice and I really love these games :)
You don't even need to grind, everything's done in a proper way and has no bugs or problems at all.
I read many reviews calling this a tower defense game but probably the reviewers don't precisely know the differences between.. 'cos there are no tower defenses here xD It's only you with your upgradable pistol/rifle, your allies and lots of zombies to kill (and guys to welcome xD)
Oh, and you also have items (cures and powerups) and so on, maybe the only negative thing is that you can't control your allies but it's not a real issue.
Maybe the price is a little bit too high, so get it on sale but you won't be disappointed!
