I liked Delicious Emily: Message in a Bottle well enough to buy the gamehouse bundle. I was looking forward to more of the DE addictive gameplay and ludicrous storylines.
Delicious Emily: New Beginnings is the earliest game in the series to be ported to steam, and it's just missing a fair few QOL features. The entertainers often get in the way and block the customers, you don't get a 'quick' bonus, different customers like different food and your menu has to account for that (a feature that adds complexity but no actual rewarding gameplay or challenge), you can't see which levels you've aced while finding the mouse, and there are a few bugs. The game also thinks that the best way to make you identify with Emily as a new mother is to make 'mind the baby' a constant, draining, infuriating task. Which... true to life, I guess?
